Bub's home!

My brother surprised the family by coming home for Christmas from Afghanistan.  Ok, so I knew he was coming, but not many other people did!  Josh was able to go to the airport to pick him up and took video of Bub and Lizzie's reunion.  I am so glad we didn't have to spend a Christmas without him!

Landon turns 3!

My baby boy turned 3 years old this year.  He had his first friend party at the Y.  He picked the theme and wanted Spiderman. I can't believe he is already 3!  It seems like yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital.

Halloween

 This year I decided to have a Halloween party this year for Landon and his friends.  It was a blast!  I had so much fun planning it and making all the goodies, and Landon had tons of fun trick or treating with all his friends.  Landon was Spiderman and Lizzie was Spidergirl. I even dressed up this year in a very last minute costume.  Next year I am planning ahead for sure though and getting a good costume for both Josh and myself!

I got to meet the Duggars!

I got to meet the Duggars! They came to Southeast Christian to speak, then did a book signing afterwards. I of course (with great friends Colleen and Nikki) stood in line for about 2 hours just to meet them and get them to sign my book. I even shook their hands!! I know, I'm a little overly excited, but I love watching them on TV and am so fascinated by their life. That same week I also to Daniel to see Bear Gryls and Landon to see Veggie Tales (which will be another post). Here are some pictures:

Big Boy Bed!

We converted Landon's bed this weekend to a toddler bed. We had tried a Cars bed a while back and he was kind of scared of it, but a friend of mine made a point that his crib is his comfort zone and converting it would probably be better. Well, she was right! He loves it! He even helped his daddy put it together. Such a big helper! Thanks for the advice Colleen!

Baseball

I got Landon a T-Ball set at Target last week and he loves it! When I went to the Red's game with work last month I had bought him a baseball helmet. He knows what it's for! As soon as we started playing with the T-Ball set he had to go get his "baseball" as he calls it (his helmet). He holds the bat backwards, but it gets the job done! I think I know what sport he will be in next year :)

Garage

Landon is really growing into his imagination. I love it! The other day, he asked me to go on a ride with him in his car to the fire house, which happened to be the front door. We get there and he says, "Mommy, do you see the fire truck?" He promptly told me he needed to park his car in the "garage" where they have stayed. Here's a picture of his "garage"

Pimmin Pool

Aunt Megan and Uncle Matt invited us to her house to go swimming in her "Pimmin pool" as Landon calls it. To my surprise, he loved it! I think it was because he could sit on the steps and play, unlike Mom's pool. He had a blast! Thanks Aunt Megan and Uncle Matt for inviting us over!

Well, I bought Landon some Toy Story underwear in hopes it would motivate him to start potty training. He decided that they would make a great hat instead!

Swimming

Landon isn't really into swimming at Mom's this year. He is a little too uneasy in the big pool. But, I did find a plastic baby pool for home that he loves! Had to do the boring plastic one so Tigger didn't pop it.

The Ear

Landon has gotten either bitten or stung by something! He now has a Dumbo ear! Whatever it was, he didn't cry when it happened. And it doesn't seem to be bothering him too much, but we are keeping him on benadryl until it looks better. Poor baby!

Big Boy bed

We are working on getting Landon into his big boy bed. Right now, both beds are set up in his room and one has to go! We tried this weekend, it looked promising, but didn't work out. I think we will give it a few weeks and try again. He's not feeling 100% so that isn't helping matters. I did get a picture of him in his bed though! Along with a random picture of him on his couch. Notice his shoes, he is into wearing mis-matched shoes and socks lately!

Huber's

We went to Huber's today for home-grown strawberries. I had never been when it wasn't pumpkin season. Landon got to "ride" the tractor and we enjoyed some superman ice cream. I think this is going to be a new tradition for us!

Toy Story

Landon's new favorite is Toy Story, mainly Buzz Lightyear. Although he does go around saying "I'm Woody, Hidy, Hidy, Hidy" (which translates to howdy, howdy, howdy). It is so cute! Lightning McQueen has had to take a little bit of a backseat lately. Kohl's had Woody, Rex, and Buzz dolls for their Kohl's for Kids promotion this month. They had Buzz in the store, but were sold out of the other two. Thank goodness I found them online!

Woody and Rex finally came in the mail. Landon wasn't feeling good this day, and as soon as I gave them to him, he hugged them and starting walking to bed. He had to sit down for me to take a picture :)

That same night, he went to bed with me because Josh was at a friends house. Looks like Daddy was kicked out of the bed!

His new P-Jama's (as he calls them). They came with Woody and Buzz, he decided to be Woody tonight.

Zoo day!

I decided on my last early day I wanted to take Landon and Lizzie to the zoo. I invited Uncle Tim and Josh was able to take a half day off work so we made it a field trip! They babies were really into the animals this time, 2 1/2 is a good zoo age. We thought we might have to cancel for rain, but it held off, thank goodness!!
